Environmental sustainability

- We care about waste management and track our waste to the end of its life.

- With a total of six short- and long-term energy-efficiency projects, our energy and raw-material savings lower our costs and increase our profitability.

- Waste-heat recovery, high-efficiency equipment upgrades and rooftop solar projects are making our industrial infrastructure low-carbon.

Rooftop solar power plant

The project was put on the Board’s agenda at the end of 2022 to meet our growing energy demand from a renewable source and become energy-independent.

With a planned output of about 1,460,000 kWh per year, the plant is designed to cover 99% of our annual electricity consumption. Its expected service life is 25 years.

The project is part of our work to align with the EU Green Deal.
